Cubism
David Hockney
He is an English printer, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer and most importantly a photographer. Hockney is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th Century.
The photos colour helps to convey emotion as there is the pink in here cheeks which shows life. The lines that are represented are the outline of each photograph which help to block each picture and helps to form the stylistic features of cubism. The contrast is not too extreme as there is a difference between the light but at a reasonable level. All the images used to create the one photo are all different shapes where some are used to highlight different features of her face.
My attempt at a cubism style photo.
what is cubism?
Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement that revolutionized European painting and sculpture In Cubist artwork, objects are analyzed, broken up and reassembled in an abstracted form—instead of depicting objects from a single viewpoint, the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context
